For many years, Nada Kano has been a Beirut-based educator, dancer and choreographer. During these years, her goal remained constant despite its highly unusual nature within the Middle East: She has been working to develop dance as an acceptable career path in Lebanon through quality training and regular performances in order to reach high-level proficiency in dance and dance creation.
She founded the Beirut Dance Studio - school of classical dance in Beirut that provides open training to young dancers who aspire to reach a professional level. It is also the space where the daily training of the Beirut Dance Company takes place as well as the home of the Beirut Dance Project - a project for Social Integration that offers professional dance to children from underprivileged areas of Beirut.
